Pandemic/Epidemic Preparedness

To strengthen preparedness for future epidemic and pandemic threats, CD3, together with the KU Leuven Rega Institute and the Virus Bank Platform, are advancing a portfolio of novel small-molecule antiviral programmes targeting viral families with high outbreak potential. By building scientific understanding, validating drug targets, and developing preclinical antiviral candidates before outbreaks occur, these programmes aim to establish a strong foundation that enables the rapid advancement of effective therapeutics when new viral threats emerge.
