Discovery Phase
CD3 Labs encompasses all key capabilities needed during the drug discovery phase. Internally developed assays can be deployed in our state-of-the-art screening facilities to interrogate a portfolio of compound collections. These include a high-quality, diverse library of approximately 500,000 compounds, as well as dedicated fragment-based and drug repurposing libraries.
Discovery activities are further strengthened through advanced in silico methodologies, including molecular design, computational modeling, and virtual screening. AI‑supported drug discovery models are embedded across our workflows, enabling efficient chemical space exploration and data-driven compound prioritization.
Further to small molecules, CD3 Labs also has extensive expertise in the discovery of targeted degraders, such as molecular glues and PROTACs and biologics, including therapeutic antibodies and antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs).
Towards clinical drug candidates
Progression from hit identification to lead optimization is driven by CD3 Labs’ internal project leadership and experienced drug discovery scientists. Dedicated medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis teams operate either in-house or with CRO support, to ensure high-quality small molecules synthesis. Combined with the in-house assay development and biological testing, rapid design–make–test cycles are implemented in close alignment with project objectives.
Lead optimization is supported by integrated ADME‑Tox assessment, pharmacokinetic (PK) profiling, and in vivo efficacy studies. These enable informed decision-making and efficient advancement of compounds, with favorable efficacy and safety profiles, and potential for clinical development.
Business Development
CD3’s intellectual property specialists work in close collaboration with business development and legal teams to support drug discovery programmes throughout their development lifecycle. This integrated expertise ensures the establishment of IP strategy, value creation, and strategically positioning of assets for downstream development, partnerships, or investment opportunities.
