Together with its partners at the KU Leuven Rega Institute and Cistim Leuven vzw, CD3 is proud to announce the official opening of the VirusBank Platform.
VirusBank is a research platform at KU Leuven, founded in 2022 and financially supported with a 20 million euros subsidy from the Belgian Federal government. This leverages Belgium’s world-class virology expertise and research infrastructure. The mission of the VirusBank Platform is to better prepare society for future viral epidemics and pandemics. The platform combines a strategic collection of viruses with a state-of-the-art toolbox including but not limited to cellular viral infection assays and animal infection models.
